EMERALD SKINCARE

Look younger . . . forever

Why Skin Ages

A new baby is issued several trillion skin cells. Each cell has an operational program implanted by the baby's deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA. The DNA instructs each skin cell to replicate itself exactly every twenty-eight days.

So everyone starts life programmed to enjoy youthful skin forever.

Unfortunately, as one experiences life, outside forces start to distort the DNA's instructions and the skin begins to age. The forces involved in the aging process are:

  1. Psychological:

All body cells are tuned to one's mind. Negative mind sets, such as anger hate, jealousy, etc. all inhibit the natural replication of cells. It is not uncommon for a person grieving over a lost loved one to look ten years older in just a matter of days.
  2. Physiological:

The cell replication process is primarily damaged through physical conditions:
    1. Deterioration:

Accidents, surgery, sickness and poor health all contribute to a depletion of skin cells. Even what the environment provides one to breathe and touch can be detrimental to all body cells. As cells sustain damage they reduce one's metabolism rate. As one's metabolism rate decreases, skin cells produce less protein necessary to support a healthy collagen layer. A healthy collagen layer supports the outer layers of the skin by applying equal pressure against all skin areas. As the collagen layer is deprived of protein from skin cells, it begins to crosshatch which restricts an even outward pressure on the skin's surface. This uneven pressure creates hill and valleys which the outer skin translates into wrinles.

Science has established the fact that topically applied vitamin A can assist the skin in obtaining its optimum metabolism rate. The better one's metabolism rate the better the nutritions available to skin cells. As nutrition increases, skin cells are able to increase the protein supply to the collagen layer, thus reducing the cross-hatchig effect that produces wrinkles.

    2. Radiation:

Skin cells are easily damaged by radiation. Solar radiation of ultraviolet rays are particularly destructive. These rays can destroy the DNA program for the cell which turns it into a mutant. Melanin cancer is a group of mutant skin cells replicating themselves in a completely uncontrolled manner.

In order to counteract these forces that cause the appearance of aging, it is necessary for one to have as positive a mindset as possible, good health, an optimum metabolism rate, an effective shield for the skin from the environmental damage and constant protection from damage caused by the sun and other radiation sources.

With a positive attitude and the Emerald Skincare regimen one can truly look younger ... forever!
